Lovell shows a small tape recorder playing the theme music for the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey and the song “The Age of Aquarius.” As he does, Haise works with some of the LM’s controls. A sudden bang rings through the spacecraft, interrupting Lovell.

HOUSTON: Okay, Jim. We’re seeing the tape recorder now and, uh, by the way, how long do you expect to keep the TV on this evening?

LOVELL: Well whenever – Stand by one.

Lovell turns and looks up towards Haise’s position. Haise admits causing the startling sound.
